Türkiye adopts new cybersecurity law

The "Cybersecurity Law" has been discussed and adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, APA reports.

Under the new law, those who carry out cyberattacks against the state institutions of the Republic of Türkiye in cyberspace and store any obtained information in cyberspace will be sentenced to 8 to 12 years of imprisonment.

Those who spread, send to others, or attempt to sell this information face up to 15 years in prison.

The law also defines the duties of the newly established Cybersecurity Administration.
