In January-February of this year, 1.2 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan. This represents a 9.1% increase in an annual comparison, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.
In January-February 2024, 1.1 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan.
Recall that last year, nearly 5.8 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan, which is 10.8% less compared in an annual comparison.
Note that oil in Azerbaijan is processed at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953. The refinery (NEZ) fully meets the country's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the NEZ.
