DNA samples are more difficult to identify as more remains remain, Farid Garagurbanli, an employee of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan said in response to a question about possible errors in identifying the remains if the remains left for a long time at the briefing for the mass media of the State Commission on Prisoners and Missing and Hostaged Citizens, APA reports.
He underscored that experts implement this action in accordance with international requirements: Identification is determined by matching the place of disappearance of the person and other forensic information. In other words, the probability of making a mistake is very low."
