As of April 27, 2024, human remains of at least 608 persons have been identified from the liberated territories, Head of the Department of Criminalistics of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan Orkhan Rzayev said at a press briefing of Azerbaijan's State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons, APA reports.
He noted several directions regarding the discovery of the human remains: "Restoration works are carried out there. The group formed in a coordinated manner regarding the discovered human remains are dispatched to the area, the human remains are discovered, then the works are carried out for identification. During the construction works in the territory of Khojaly district, 3 mass graves were discovered."
