UN Secretary General intends to attend the COP29

The Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres intends to attend the COP29 event to be held in Azerbaijan, said Selwin Charles Hart, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Climate Action and Just Transition during his meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

Azerbaijani President said that he would be glad to see the UN Secretary General at COP29.

The Head of State underscored that all necessary and essential works in preparation for are proceeding according to plan. Azerbaijan is conducting negotiations and consultations with the international community and institutions on the substantive issues of COP29.
