On May 7, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, who is on official visit to Republic of Türkiye, got familiarized with the progress of construction works in "Azerbaijan quarter" in Kahramanmaraş province, APA reports citing the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Housing Construction, which is the Executive Body of the Azerbaijan side Sadiq Sadigov, within the framework of the project, informed Prime Minister Ali Asadov about the progress of the construction works.
The Prime Minister gave relevant instructions regarding the timely and high-quality implementation of construction works.
Note that in accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan supported the construction of a new neighborhood in Kahramanmaraş province, which was damaged by the devastating earthquake that occurred in Türkiye on February 6, 2023.
In accordance with the intergovernmental cooperation agreement signed in Nakhchivan on September 25, 2023, the total cost of USD 100 million was allocated by the government of Azerbaijan for the implementation of the project.
