“Today, on this significant day, I would like to remind you that the 44-day Patriotic War, which took place more than 3 years ago, ended with the complete victory of Azerbaijan and the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. On November 10, 2020, a ceasefire was reached as a result of the tripartite statement signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Russian Federation and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which lasted for nearly 30 years, ended. During the period of mission, the peacekeeping contingent fulfilled the assigned tasks and duties and spared no effort to ensure peace and stability in the territory of the Garabagh economic region,” said Chief of General Staff of Azerbaijan Karim Valiyev during the event held at Khojaly, APA reports.
