ISESCO Director-General: Grand opening ceremony of Shusha- the "Capital of Islamic Culture" will be held

The opening ceremony of Shusha as the Capital of Islamic Culture will be held, Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, the Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) who is on a visit to Baku, told journalists, APA reports.

"I am in Baku for a number of reasons. One of which, and the most important, is to participate in the festive opening ceremony of Shusha- the "Capital of Islamic Culture". This is not only important for Azerbaijan but also a very significant event for the entire Islamic world", the Director-General stressed.

He also noted that the II ICESCO Ministerial Conference on PISA will also be held in Baku.
